Alain Chaussard is a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Paris, one of the most prestigious engineer French school, of Institut d’études politiques and of Ecole nationale de statistique et d’administration économique. He also holds a Master in mathematics and a postgraduate degree in finance.
After a career in banking with Crédit Lyonnais and Crédit Chimique, he joined in 1989 Banque Stern to become deputy CEO. Back to Crédit Lyonnais in 1992, he was in charge of structured financing and then of the group’s distressed business. In this capacity, he served notably as chairman of the Omnium Immobilier de Gestion (properties defeasance structure) and of the Salle Pleyel concert hall. Appointed deputy CEO at Euris of 1996, he then joined the Affine group as deputy CEO in 1998 and has been its vice-chairman since 2000. He is Chairman of the groupement Centrale immobilier and of la Société des grands interprètes (Piano 4*), and serves on the board of l’Institut de l’épargne immobilière et foncière (IEIF), of la Fédération des sociétés immobilières et foncières (FSIF, Federation of French property companies), and of Pro Musicis association.
